Hooch in Autumn

We are attempting an exploration experiment with the dogs this year. One of our dogs is, apparently, “geriatric” and he seems to have all of his old energy when he goes somewhere new, somewhere interesting where he can really engage his senses and get excited. We try to take them somewhere new like this every week (we even checked out an old graveyard on Halloween) and yesterday’s excursion was to one of the many walking and hiking trails along the Chattahoochee River just about 20 minutes north of Atlanta. If you live in the area, now is a great time to go – the leaves still on the trees are gorgeous colors and the forest floor is blanketed in such beautiful hues. Not only that but the tree frogs and crickets are in great voice while all the snakes (including the very venomous) have gone back to their winter sleep.
Here attached are some motivational photos if anyone needs inspiration to go into the woods and marvel.
